"I had fun at Gammy's house!"

Sarah and I just got back from a whirlwind trip to Florida to visit our mom and dad. First we went to mom's and we had a great time! The ride down was not that bad...the boy's were well behaved and so were we (for the most part) :). The last hour of the 10 hour ride was the hardest...but we survived and we were so thankful to be at our destination.
My nephew's 2nd birthday was on Sunday so we celebrated on Wed. night when we got into town. We tried to get him to call our mom Grammy but it came out "Gammy" and it is so cute when he says it! I don't know who was more excited about the cake, Gammy or Colin! :)
He even said "I had fun at Gammy's house!" Is that not adorable?!?! We also taught him to answer the question "How old are you?" He says "I 2!"

boat ride

Jonas took his first boat ride out on the Chickamauga Lake a couple of weekends ago on Big Mal's boat! We all had a blast...as you can see...we wore the little guy out!

Our visit with Nana

We had a fun vacation down to lower Alabama over the fourth of July weekend. It was Jonas' longest car ride ever...but we made it and had a great time. We even got to go to the beach for a few minutes - just long enough for Jonas to shove as much sand as he possibly could into his mouth. He can move pretty fast these days! The reason we were only at the beach for a few minutes is that a HUGE storm was quickly approaching. We decided to take as many pictures as we could to document Jonas' first experience at the beach...however, guess who forgot their memory card for the camera - that would be me! I was pretty frustrated but our camera did allow us to save about 8 pictures without the card...here are some of the pictures we took and then Nana was able to send us some of her pictures too!

not a big fan

Jonas has been enjoying eating big boy food (mostly fruits) until last night. I decided it was time for him to try a veggie at dinner time. As you can see from the look on his face - he is not a big fan of green beans. He made every "this is yucky" face in the book. Oh well, maybe we will stick with fruits for now and try veggies again later.
